I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most astounding good news in the history of humanity, but I also fear a great many of us no longer sense the authority, power, and goodness of our God today. Too many Christians feel isolated and alone, and the world in which we live encourages ever deeper estrangement from one another and especially from God. Entertainment, technology, politics, media, and more all seek to attract us and detach us from all that is real and true and good. We need an outpost of our Father’s Kingdom where we can be connected to others who believe and are journeying with Christ into the heart of God.

Who is Elizabeth?

A Methodist minister who served 6 churches in 4 locations, she began writing when health issues required her to take disability. First teaching classes on topics requested by local churches, those individual studies eventually became a 3-year adult catechism consisting of 6 books and 2 retreats inviting Christians into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and to a greater commitment to serving Him in the world. During Covid, that ministry slowly came to an end, though she expects to update the books and re-release them individually over the next year or three.

Since she’s still living, she writes to share the Good News, to encourage growth in virtue and fellowship with Jesus Christ, and to defend Christian faith and life in a culture that’s often hostile toward the faith it almost never truly understands. In her spare time, she has the privilege of serving as an instructor in Apologetics for Truett Seminary at Baylor.

On a personal note, I encourage you to read Elizabeth’s Substack. Why? Because what she had to say about our faith saved my life and put me on a journey to the the greater fullness of our salvation in Jesus Christ.
